Large confortable room, free wi-fi, free parking
Not so cheap
The guy who checked us in was super helpful and friendly. And the food at Rafters restaurant was excellent. Would stay again.
The breakfast included was fine (toast, bagels, donuts, mini muffins, apples, cereal, porriage, oj, tea and coffee) but the buffet staff were awful, unhelpful and boarder-line rude. The breakfast was served on the bar in Rafters. There were no tea bags in the room, and the bathroom fan was really noisy.
Good location, restaurant/bar with live music nearby. Reasonable price, free wi-fi, kitchen with all necessary stuff,
You'd better come with friends renting the whole house. Otherwise those doors, separating 3 different areas arent really well isolated. Also some furniture is chip or old ( couldnt make cloak work/alarm properly, garbage can is the place for those), however thats not crucial.
The best thing about the Sierra Nevada Lodge is the free WiFi....to find another hotel. We booked a night for $145, and you expect a nice hotel for that price. The Sierra Nevada Lodge looks and is a low budget Motel with prefab walls and old rooms. Very very noisy rooms as well, you will hear luggage put down by neighbours, old windows opened in other rooms and the shower and toilets of course. So we were glad we booked only one night. Price/quality of this location is poor...
The room (suite) was very spacious and comfortable, and all facilities were in good condition. It is located very close to the park entrance.
The restaurant is well below any standard.
Hotel was choosen in last minute for a one day summer stay on the road between Yosemite and Death Valley. Good location in center of Mammoth Lakes, with easy access to restaurants and local mountains. Room was ok but not espeacilly great. Average hotel.
A little bite old-fashioned hotel, even if clean. Some rooms could be very hot in summer and force to use noisy clim. Wifi was not working at all in our room (far away from lobby)! Breakfast was not great with few choise.
A very nice hotel, helpful friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and bears all over the place.
Liked the miniature golf course, our son liked that the best. Rooms were very nice, cozy, lobby area was a nice comfortable family cozy setting.
Nothing really except that it didn't provide Continental Breakfast of some sort in the morning and the rooms had no air conditioning (it was hot while we were there).
Location not bad. Parking.
Very poor breakfast. Old buildings, old and small bathroom. Swimming pool, sauna and spa closed despite spa and sauna should be opened all year. Quality/price vey low.
* The continental breakfast was dismal. Main feature was hard bagels or dried bread. * Not SNL fault, but Mammoth was basically closed for the season. Poor time to vacation in Mammoth....
nice location but room not great
Bathroom in poor condition. Lamps don't turn on. No AC. Not sure of security with window open to cool room.
The history, the photographs and memorabilia, the newly renovated room, but most of all... the hot tub!!
The continental breakfast was a little too basic, not much choice.
Cosy atmosphere, great breakfast, large comfortable rooms. Nice decor throughout
That i have been staying here for about 15 years now.
That it has changed to a want to be sophisticated hotel when its not. They stillhave no a/c and the ceiling and walls must be as thick as cardboard since you here everything from neighbors. This was one of the smallest rooms that I've stayed in and i didn't like the air brakes going off at 6am from the greyhound bus right outside my window. Very disappointed that after all these years can no longer consider this place my mammoth hotel. On to the next hotel.
The setting and style of the hotel, creates a good feeling and I feel relaxed as soon as I arrive there. Good choice available for the free continental breakfast.
